Where poetry meets the photo…
Have you ever read a book and then saw the movie and the main character looked nothing like you imagined? When I read, I envision how a person or location appears; it’s a strange alchemy of the writer’s words and my own imagination. What would happen if authors could visually share their perspective with both words and images? Could that bring the reader and viewer closer to the composition of the piece?
One of my earlier poems, Venetian Night, references the gravel and pastel sprays of Buckingham Fountain. I tried to see if I could meld poetry and photography to tell you a different story. I wanted to investigate if I could somehow merge my writing with my photography. This is the result.
