2020. Close your eyes. What do you see? What is your vision?
I make resolutions. I read horoscopes. I make wishes when I see 11:11. Last year felt like a roller-coaster in both good ways and bad ways. When my friend suggested going to Portia King’s Bumble 2020 Vision Party, I was all in. This sounded so much better than just a list of resolutions. I never expected to have so much fun at a Vision Board Party!

What is a Vision Board?
It is a board (usually a piece of posterboard) where you place pictures or words that represent what you want to generate in your life in the coming year. Usually, people go through a magazine and cut out pictures and words that represent what they wish to achieve, acquire or manifest. For example, if you want to travel in the new year, you might paste a picture of suitcase. You can paste the pictures and words in any manner, but most people make a collage. When you are finished, you hang the board in a prominent place. The board reminds you of your deepest wishes.
Pajama Party
The invite said it was a sleepover pajama themed party, so I threw my pajamas in my bag and thought of all I wanted to do in 2020. I walked in to Throop Studio and was greeted with champagne, sparkles, and a friendly hello.
Fun Fact: These are my “good” pajamas. They travel when I travel . My pjs have been to Europe. I also wore them in a play.
There was food, friends, and FUN. I am like a kid in a candy store when it comes to arts and crafts.
GLITTER STICKERS
Cupcakes, make your own candy bags, and treat yourself donuts
Portia King (@portiakingmedia) organized the event.

We also got a preview of of the KampKeisha Fitness Apparel Belt. Check out @blessed1keesh for more information.

A raffle was also held. When I first signed up for the workshop, I thought three hours seemed like a lot of time. It flew by.
Raffle tickets Jade (@jadeinfull) the winner of the Karoke contest, and (if there had been one) best shoes contest. How great are her slippers?
Participants received a special surprise – a screening pass to see Like A Boss.
I put my Vision Board on my Fridge. The Vision Board will serve a double purpose for me: it will remind me of my goals as well as the spirit and camaraderie of this event. Although my vision board is about my wants and needs, making the board in such a positive environment reminded me that none of us achieve anything alone. We are stronger when we collaborate and support each other. We reach our individual goals together. My achievements are not my own; my family, my teachers, my friends, my mentors, my blog readers all contributed to my success, and I am grateful.
My Vision Board: Live your best Diamond Life.
